August 16 to September 13 2025
Our Far North itinerary offers an experience like no other. This unique adventure takes you to remote tropical spots where you can witness the extraordinary gatherings of manta rays in Hanifaru Bay.
Nestled within the Baa Atoll, a UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve, Hanifaru Bay promotes sustainable tourism and serves as a haven for manta rays and whale sharks. It’s an essential destination for anyone passionate about these graceful gentle giants.
The Northern atolls also present a variety of underwater landscapes, from pinnacles to mysterious canyons, overhangs and swim-throughs, adorned with vibrant corals and teeming with fish life.
The calm waters around these atolls are scattered with sandbanks and secluded islands, perfect for relaxing in vast, shallow lagoons that are likely to be exclusively ours.
Over four weeks, we'll anchor near Hanifaru Bay for two days each week. Our crew stays coordinated with area rangers, using drones to monitor manta movements. When conditions are right, we head into the bay for guided snorkeling sessions with the mantas. If you're keen, additional trips can be arranged via dinghy (additional entry fees apply).
Please note:
- Snorkeling in Hanifaru Bay replaces a scheduled dive from the package
- One entry fee per guest is included
- Far North Cruises are focused on maximizing your encounters with manta rays, which may require adjustments to the itinerary.
