What an amazing experience. We had really high expectations before we arrived and they were all all met and well exceeded. A huge thanks to our excellent dive guide Isse who always gave us a great time under and above water and who’s good advice always strived to make us (even) better divers. Also a massive thanks to dive instructor Evan who always wanted to share his vast knowledge around the Maldivian marine life. Your enthusiasm and willingness to share knowledge truly brings extra value. The restaurant team was also great with chef Abdullah in the lead. Great variation in food and the buffet style dining held 5/5 quality. Mahedi and Cha in the service team always gave top quality service and had full control over our wishes and routines.

Just returned from a mid January trip aboard the ScubaSpa Yin. 8 days in all. 6 days Diving. All of the big airlines fly here. So long trip from almost anywhere but we are full time travelers on our own expedition trawler and left from London. Transfers were a no brainer and we were greeted and walked across the street from the terminal and onto the big dive boat we would board 3 times a day for diving. Never touched our luggage after customs. Accommodations were awesome. Big room, queen size bed, quality sheets and great mattress. Turn down service in the evening. The boat is 165’ but feels massive with 5 different lounge decks/areas, day beds and a jacuzzi. Diving. We did 17 dives and saw mantas on 15 of those. Average depth 65’.

We dove off of Scubaspa Yin for 7 days over New Years. Yin is a beautifully equiped luxury livaboard dive boat. My wife did 9 dives and 4 spa treatments I did 15 dives (out of a max. 17). The boat has a large tender with a full nitrox membrane, so you just leave all your gear on the tender for the week. This means there is plenty of deck space left on the livaboard, for a very social bar, large restaurant and spa. Dives are fully guided and range in depths for 12m - 30m, and 1 hour run times. We did a best of Maldives type trip focused on Male and North and South Ari Atolls, the only negative is that the dive sites are very popular and it wasn't unusual to see alot of other divers from other boats on our excursions. Our room was large, with a large oval portal (dolphin Suite). Staff were very friendly and helpful. We will most likely return for either a Deep South or Far North trip, to see some less frequented sites.

I went solo on the New Years cruise doing the Central Maldives itinerary (anti-clockwise direction from Male). This was the first Maldives liveaboard I have done so not much to compare against but it seems clear that the Yin and Yang are amongst the very best if not the best boats operating out of Male. I had a Dolphin suite on the main deck and requested the one that was not furthest forward to not be next to the anchor pocket. The room was excellent in size and cleanliness (room serviced 2 or 3 times a day). The boat is run very well by Thomas and then the diving aspect by "V". Both of them were very professional and excellent in answering any questions or issued that arose. The rest of the crew are also excellent and it really is a 5 star operation. The food is very good too although I wouldn't go quite as far as to say it is better than food at the resort islands. Great bar and barman on the main deck aft and altogether a very nice atmosphere on board all week with a good mixture of customers from around the world (no nationality too dominant).
