Diving Details
Diving during Love Mantas Week brings together the variety of the Maldives’ Central Atolls with a special focus on manta rays. From cleaning stations where mantas gather to coral-covered pinnacles, channels, walls, and wrecks, the itinerary offers plenty to discover. Reef sharks, eagle rays, turtles, and large schools of tropical fish add to the diversity of marine life along the route.
What makes the week different is the understanding that comes with each encounter. Guest experts and marine conservation from Manta Trust share insights into manta ray behavior, identification, research, and conservation, bringing a new perspective to how individual manta rays are recognized, what researchers are learning about their behavior, and how these encounters can contribute to ongoing conservation efforts.
